OVERVIEW

The Utilities Operator is responsible for the proper performance and good housekeeping requirements for materials and equipment.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs start-ups, shutdowns, operates and monitors the operation of Boilers, Turbines, Air Compressors, Water Plant, Lime Plant, Injection Water Pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Performs chemical testing for Boilers, Turbines, Water Plant, and Lime Plant and makes the necessary chemical injection adjustments.
  • Performs routine/preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on the Boilers, Turbines, Water Plant, and Lime Plant and associated equipment.
  • Prepares chemicals for use in all water treatment and maintains an inventory of all chemicals for use in water treatment. Requests chemicals as needed.
  • Performs all material handling including forklift operation and accepts new shipments of chemicals, unloads, and places in position as necessary.
  • Enters daily information in the logbook and completes required reports.
  • Involved in major/minor overhauls of equipment on the Boilers, Turbines, Water Plant, and Lime Plant equipment.
  • Writes work orders for repairs required for his/her equipment and coordinates with maintenance personnel with minor maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining sanitation levels as required.

WORK EXPERIENCES

Two years industrial experience working with high-pressure steam turbines or industrial boilers or Class II Engineers license for steam turbines or Boilers.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must possess a Class I license from the state of Louisiana on water treatment.

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

  • Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use tools required to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

3. Project Manager – Real World Solutions/Late Phase Services (Home-Based Canada)

Overview

Project Manager – Real-World Solutions
The Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager (PM) in Real-World Solutions, is responsible for owning and achieving interim and final contractual deliverables for assigned projects/programs, according to time, quality/scope, and cost constraints. The PM must have a detailed understanding of all functional service areas and be able to autonomously lead multifaceted functional teams effectively. The candidate is expected to bring to the position a strong understanding of planning and conducting real-world research under GEP/GPP and GCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

Understands and manages client expectations to achieve study aims while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Proactively identifies, mitigates, and manages risks and/or issues.
Manages project resources and utilization.
Contributes to the development, maintenance and approval of operational study plans. Guides and supports team leads in prioritizing, problem-solving and contingency planning.
Owns projections of units/hours (revenue and resources), actual units/hours efficiency analysis.
Identifies out of scope activities/requests and ensures these are approved upfront via contract modification.
Ensures control of financial risk to PRA.
Leads presentations of financial reviews and is accountable for action item follow up.
Ensures adherence to company SOP, policies, and guidelines at the project level.
Assumes a leadership role to ensure project team compliance with PRA processes and systems including escalation to relevant functional and operational management.
Mentors other members of the project management team or functional leads, as required.
Attends and presents at client meetings, including bid defense meetings.
May act as a lead project manager on international projects.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research, including real-world project management research experience.

OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Packaging Manufacturing Engineer is to improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of the Packaging equipment in the Production Department by implementing proper reliability centered maintenance processes. The engineer manages projects in the packaging department.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with reliability-centered maintenance to implement the program in Packaging and Warehouse Maintenance.
  • Use of predictive maintenance tools for vibration, ultrasonic, infrared, oil analysis, etc
  • Ability to interpret data and recommend countermeasures.
  • Improves the manufacturability of products and packaging equipment. Works with operations on continuous improvement of packaging lines and equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role.
  • Troubleshoots and improves new and existing equipment. Partners with operations to gather data to identify root causes and solutions to production problems.
  • Originates concepts for new and existing packaging equipment, including support equipment such as conveying, robotics, instrumentation, weight control, and quality systems. Manages and engineers approved projects through to completion. Projects will cover a diverse range both in scope and area.
  • Able to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to peers, subordinates, and leadership within the organization and across organizational lines
  • Ability to work weekends as needed.
