Ministry of Health Ghana

Ghana’s Ministry of Health (MoH) is the government ministry in charge of the country’s health. It is involved in public health, the management of Ghana’s healthcare business, and the construction of Ghana’s hospitals and medical education system.

In Ghana, the ministry is in charge of all health-related concerns. It was in charge of delivering or providing direct public health services in the country. The Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals have been delegated the roles of promotion, preventative, curative, and rehabilitative care following the passing of an ACT 525 by parliament. As a result, the ministry’s responsibilities have been reduced to policy creation, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, and regulation of the country’s health service delivery.
