You can get free access to the Qatar Fifa World Cup on the following television networks: TV3, GH One, Metro TV, and Angel TV.

Is the local TV off from showing the World Cup?

Local channels in Ghana will continue to broadcast the World Cup, but satellite channels will not be allowed to do so due to a policy that prohibits them from doing so.

However, you can also watch them on other platforms, such as the terrestrial (Digital), which is broadcast for free-to-air.

As a direct consequence of this, it is not possible to watch TV3, GH One, Metro TV, Angel TV, MAX TV, Onua TV, MX24, or any of the other channels on master, Quality advance, or any other decoder that supports T2 channels.

Viewers will be able to watch all 64 matches live and in high definition on the free-to-air decoder because GTV SPORTS PLUS HD will only be available on HD plus decoders and will therefore only be available on HD plus decoders.

In accordance with a FIFA ruling, all satellite decoders that are set to digital transmission will be turned off during the matches and will be turned back on after the competition has concluded.

In addition, the rights to broadcast the World Cup matches over the air are open to the public and are known as “free-to-air” rights. In addition, an antenna will be necessary in order to view live broadcasts of the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches. These broadcasts will take place in Qatar. No decoder access!
