8 Great Ways to Earn Money as a Student. College students are always on the lookout for part-time or even full-time jobs that offer some flexibility and allow them to earn money on their own terms.

Teaching others is an amazing way to earn some extra cash, especially when you’re trying to balance your workload with other extracurriculars. Not only will tutoring give you real-world experience in teaching, but it also pays great. Sites like Varsity Tutors pay up to $30 an hour for tutor work and connect tutors with students of all ages.

Earning money on top of your college tuition is great for your wallet, and it’s even better for your resume. One of my favourite sites for selling unwanted items is eBay. If you have collectables, rare books, movies or music that you’re not using and have some free time, why not try earning some extra cash by listing them on eBay? You can start small by selling unused books or records at a local flea market.
If your items are valuable enough and in demand, they may end up selling on eBay for more than you could get at a garage sale. If you don’t like eBay, try consignment shops. They take a percentage of what your item sells for and then sell it on consignment.
The rest goes to you! This is great if you have expensive things that aren’t selling well at garage sales or if there isn’t much demand for used clothing items in your area.
